At Perspective Strides, compassionate and professional counseling is at the heart of everything that we do. Services include individual counseling, online counseling for anyone in Georgia, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and trauma-informed counseling.
I'm a counselor who believes therapy should be a space where you can show up as your whole self - without having to edit, explain, or minimize your experiences. I work with teens and adults, specializing in LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed care. I also support clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to support you with curiosity, understanding, and without judgment. I strive to create an affirming space where you can explore your identity, process difficult experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. I strive to create a warm, affirming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and sharing at your own pace.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am also a PhD candidate at Walden University, where my research focuses on concerns within the LGBTQIA+ community arising from the current climate in the United States.
I have experience in community-based care as an outpatient therapist, working alongside a team of professionals, and in private outpatient practice, providing services to children, teens, and adults both in person and online.
Outside of the counseling office, you can find me curled up on the couch with my dog, watching TV, or reading a new fantasy book. I also believe that cruise ships are the best form of transportation and try to travel as much as possible.
We believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and grounded in the person sitting across from us. Together, we'll explore what's happening beneath the surface, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop approaches that fit your needs and goals.
